Icy beauty, warm home, loving family, good friends

What with the snow, the family was home today. I stayed inside and worked on a short story with occasional breaks to take pictures of icicles outside our kitchen window (they fell partway through the afternoon), while my family went in and out, working on clearing the driveway of snow — with several well-earned breaks along the way. Then in the afternoon, friends came over and we had a good time playing various games, eating, talking, and laughing.

A marvelous snow day, with much to be grateful for! What are you grateful for today?

    Those are gorgeous icicles!

I am grateful for my kid’s pro handling of the surprise dental appointment today, as well as my son’s willingness to take on a shoveling project tomorrow when he’s off school (again).

  2. Sounds like a lovely day. Glad you had fun.

Those are some seriously wind-blown icicles! 😀

Sounds like a lovely day! Pretty pictures; those windblown icicles are crazy. Yay for games with friends.

Love the movement in the icicles. I especially like the first photo. Can’t say I miss the cold though.

      Thanks!

I won’t argue — I wouldn’t miss the cold, either. The photos are so I can try to appreciate something about the weather.
