December snow

Last night, we got our first bit of wintry mix — mostly rain, trace of snow that stuck around on the grass for a little bit after the sun came up. The kids were incredibly happy to see the snow. (Me, I told them to make sure they caught their buses this morning because I wasn’t driving anywhere!)

Anyway, it was nice to see a winter trying to be winter, and it’s always good to see happy children. (Also on my gratitude list right now: the smell of the bread that’s about to come out of the oven.) What are you grateful for this week?

  1. We had our first snow a little bit ago, and it’s always wonderful to see. Besides, it’s an excuse for hot chocolate with marshmallows, isn’t it?

Lovely pictures, and I’ll bet fresh baked bread goes really well with hot chocolate, too.

  2. We had a little snow last week. It melted immediately. But it put me in the mood for Christmas so it’s all good.

  3. Everything around us and about 50 meters higher got a good dusting yesterday … we’re still waiting! … le sigh. 😀
