Good luck Friday

Okay, yes, posting this early Saturday morning, but I don’t care. Haven’t been to sleep, so it still counts for Friday.

Tired and grumpy today. Grumpy, grouchy, grunchy. So I didn’t exercise or meditate. I did copyedit another article, though, and I hit a good run of words. Hoping to keep that up over the weekend, but we shall see.

Tired Thursday

I did get the article copyedited and the pictures printed and picked up. Not so great on the words, though, and I’m trying not to dwell on being almost a week behind where I want to be.

Going to bed early tonight.

Wacky Wednesday

Two-hour delay for the schools, plus testing that my son doesn’t have to do, so he’s home all day, plus hunting for a set of pictures for the timeline my daughter’s doing in school only to discover I have to jump through hoops to convert an old photo library to something useful plus figure out how to save a still from a movie as an image file, and getting my daughter’s Brownie uniform set with badges … I barely got to the paying work today and felt like tearing out my hair trying to figure out if the authors are making a meaningful distinction between no-crack and non-crack, or if that’s just inconsistency.

I did eventually get words, at least a few. I’d like to say I’ll get more tomorrow. But first I need to finish that copyediting and order photo prints over at Walgreens from the digital files.

Not sure of the pages read — I grabbed a library book on my way out the door to take my daughter to Brownies. Read a chunk. Am enjoying it. Might even get it finished before it’s due.

Now, as Katie Scarlett said, tomorrow is another day.

Onward, little words

A lot of watching the weather today. School district canceled after-school activities because of “impending inclement weather,” so I kept check the forecast and watching the skies. Saw a few flakes of snow. No ice. And now it’s raining, which will melt what snow we did get this past weekend. My kids are going to be very bummed in the morning.

If I keep working at it, I might get my average to 2k/day by the end of the month. Just keep writing, right?

Monday lingers

Okay, so the reason Monday lingers is because it’s actually past midnight, making it Tuesday, but this is still my Monday update.

My average is still going down. Have to do something about that. On the other hand, I crossed 50,000 words in the book today, which is a nice milestone.

Oh, yeah, and I made a tasty spatchcocked chicken for dinner.

Sunday starts anew

Still not a ton of words. In addition to my normal Sunday chores (groceries and laundry), I undecorated the Christmas tree and watched the surprise flurries we got, and after dinner, we watched Finding Dory because our daughter wanted us to watch one of the movies we got for Christmas.

Thinking that maybe I’ll try to up my weekday goal and acknowledge not as much will get written on weekends. How that’s going to work with also doing more freelance work over the next couple of weeks, I’m not sure.

Saturday is a struggle

At least, a struggle to focus on getting things done I should.

Tomorrow’s another day and another week. Let’s see how that goes.

Friday Friday

Slept better last night. Really looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. What can I say? My ideal rising time is like 8 to 8:30.

I almost didn’t exercise, but I couldn’t bear to not do it twice in the first week!

And if I’m going to be posting daily, I really need to take more pictures.

Onward

crowsMore sleep last night, but still behind on average. Mostly, that means I didn’t do anything today besides write and pick up the sick son from school. I did get my words in, though!

No exercise because I was about to when the school called, and with one thing and another and making Jell-O and all, I just never got back to it. I’ll count it as a day of rest. That’s fair, right?

Not as good

Stayed up late the past couple of nights watching my husband game (Far Cry 4) and could barely keep my eyes open today. Good thing dinner plan was to take something out of the freezer and put it in the slow cooker all day! Only other thing on my agenda was getting the girl to Brownies tonight (and my car battery died there because why not). But while waiting for her meeting to get done, I really started rolling on the current scene, so I stayed up to finish it (after dinner, getting daughter to bed, etc.).
