I’ve been on the go since I got up at 6 — kids’ lunches, daughter to bus stop, groceries, laundry (5 or 6 loads, I lost track), a pot of beans, cleaning kitchen, copyediting, reviewing feedback, daughter from bus stop, dinner, daughter’s badges on her Brownie sash, drive to Brownies…
And now, I get my reward: an hour to sit here and read or write or poke at social media or just stare into space without anybody demanding some of my time.
What are you grateful for today?
That’s the best kind of hour, especially after a crazy day when everyone and everything demands your attention. Enjoy!
I was lucky; I had hours to myself today. Cooked, edited my book, emailed. . .all by myself. Now it’s time to make dinner for family.
Thanks!
Sounds like you had a lovely day. Hooray! What’s for dinner tonight?
Yay for an hour to choose what you want to do :). Definitely something to be grateful for.
It seems so rare, but I suppose that’s only because I’ve already chosen all these other things. 😉
My hour is now. I’m almost halfway though it, at 5.25am. At 6 the house will start stirring, and by 7 it’ll be all systems go. But this time is mine. 🙂
Hooray for your hour! I’m only as much of a morning person as I have to be, but that stillness before dawn can be amazing. 🙂
