Another day, another trickle of words

Not so much on the focus today. Read (finished another book). Played Match-3 games. Cooked a pot of beans that I left sitting on the stove and really need to do something with before crawling into bed.

And eventually forced myself to write something just so I wouldn’t have a zero for the day.

Words written today: 161
Words written this month: 3,294
Words written 2017: 43,809
Average words/day 2017: 1,252
Books completed 2017: 1
Pages read: 40% of the book
Books read 2017: 2
Exercise reps: 0

Clearly, I need to check my math somewhere because there’s no way the words per day went up, but I’m not doing it tonight. I’m going to go put food away, take some cough syrup, and crawl into bed.

  1. The beans sound promising. We (and by “we” I mean my parents, not actually me) will make a pot of beans, add canned tomatoes (maybe paste, too), brown sugar, ketchup, ham (or bacon, or both), mustard, vinegar (I think?), and probably icky things like onions, cook it down, and it’s an amazing one-pot meal. When I was younger it was done with cans of pork-n-beans instead of the dry ones you get in bags, and I love that version, too. Though not quite as much.

Side effect? Everyone in the house gets unlimited bathroom joke punchlines for a day or so. Because beans. 🙂

    • I do that as a separate step, baking them with all that stuff. I do this with about half the beans, then add them to my beef and barley stew. I love the hint of sweetness it imparts! 🙂
